If YOU want to enjoy Great off Peak “Standby” Rates** and Less Crowds do not come during the July Holidays or on weekends in July and August! Why not come midweek or look at a weekend in June or September - It is about 25% cheaper, MUCH less busy and guess what? The snow is still here to play in!

Cooma is located approx. 40 minutes from Jindabyne and 1 hour from Thredbo, Perisher Blue and Selwyn Snowfields depending on road conditions!. During winter accommodation costs at the Cooma Motor Lodge are about 1/2 to 1/4 of the costs of an equivalent room in the "Snow." Also at the Cooma Motor Lodge you can stay for one night only. The peak nights are School Holidays in July and Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights in July and August.

Also unlike the mountains you can book fairly late and still find accommodation.

If staying at the Cooma Motor Lodge you can drive up to the 3 resorts on very good roads. (Nothing steep or windy.) During winter chains must be carried in Kosciuszko National Park. An alternative to this is drive to Bullocks Flat (Chains not required) then catch the Ski Tube train to Perisher Blue Ski Resort.

Chains and Ski/Board Hire is available next to the Cooma Motor Lodge.

If not wishing to drive a BUS SERVICE to and from Cooma is available to Perisherblue and Thredbo. This can include lift tickets and hire. See www.transborder.com.au

Virginblue (great deals) and Qantas fly to Canberra and bus connections are available to Cooma from Canberra Airport.
